Something in the Secret Place of the Most High sounds pretty sturdy to me.

A Rock of Stone

WHEN ARE WE
During the life of King David. After he was anointed, King David wrote a lot of Psalms. Praises to the Most High.

WHERE ARE WE
I'm not sure where King David was when he wrote Psalm 27. Probably somewhere in Israel.

WHY ARE WE HERE NOW
In the past weeks I've found myself on a text thread praying for a friend who's undergoing chemotherapy. One of the people on that thread consistently references Psalm 27. I decided to look at the Psalm and saw the word "stone".

Upon closer examination, I saw that Psalm 27 is like Psalm 91: it talks about a secret place, and some of the promises about it.

I'm attracted to a few verses in Psalm 27 because they also talk about a rock.

While I was doing my research, I had a number of books marked with Psalm 27 and I decided to record the different versions.

In each version, it might look like the rock is inside a secret pavilion. Here are three versions of Psalm 27 verses 5 and 6:

Psalm 27 in the New King James Version
5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be [c]lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of [d]joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

(other versions not included in the transcript.)

The last version of Psalm 27 I recorded was the Cloverdale Psalter. It's contained in some prayer books I have in my home. The Cloverdale has a couple interesting features. One is the verses are split into smaller ones. The other is the English meaning of "High upon a rock" is rendered more like "a rock of stone." It looks like whatever David was being set upon in this Secret Place felt pretty sturdy to him:

In the Future, may we trust Jesus to hide us in His secret place of confidence. And may we sing praises to the Lord.
